Creative Strategy & Concepts

Research-led angles built from your offer, your buyer, and what is already winning in your market.

Runs standalone, or as the opening phase of a performance creative retainer.

The problem

Most ads fail before they are made

A brief that reads “three UGC videos and two statics” is a production order, not a strategy. It settles the format and leaves the hard question untouched: what are we actually claiming, and why would this person believe it?

So the work defaults to what the category already does. The same testimonial structure, the same before and after, the same discount overlay. It looks professional and reads as noise, because every competitor arrived at it the same way.

By the time a weak angle reaches the account, the money is already committed. Production budget, media budget, and a testing window that could have gone to something with a chance.

You cannot edit your way out of an idea that was never right.

What we do

What we do

Four inputs, one output. The output is a ranked list of things worth testing.

Offer teardown

We pull the offer apart: what it costs, what it replaces, what it risks, what it proves. Most brands have stronger arguments available than their ads are currently making.

Buyer language mining

Reviews, support tickets, comments and community threads. We take the words your buyers already use rather than the ones your brand deck prefers.

Market sweep

What competitors are running, how long they have run it, and which structures the category has already trained your buyer to scroll past.

A ranked angle map

Every angle written as a testable claim with the proof it needs, ordered by expected impact. Production briefs come straight out of it.

How it works

How it works

Four steps, usually two to three weeks end to end. It finishes with briefs a production team can start from.

01

Interrogate the offer

A working session on the product, the price, the objection and the proof you can actually stand behind.

02

Mine the buyer’s own words

We read what your market already says, in its own phrasing, and pull out the tensions that keep recurring.

03

Sweep what is running

Ad libraries, category leaders and adjacent markets. We map what is saturated and what is unclaimed.

04

Rank and brief

Angles scored, ordered, and written up as briefs a production team can shoot from tomorrow.

Deliverables

What you get

A documented set of decisions, not a deck of observations.

  • An offer teardown naming the claims worth making, and the ones to drop
  • A buyer language document quoting your market in its own words
  • A competitive sweep of what your category is currently running
  • A ranked angle map, each angle written as a testable claim
  • Production-ready concept briefs for the leading angles
  • Hook variants written for the angles we expect to carry
  • A written recommendation on test order and sequencing
  • A working session to walk your team through all of it

Delivered standalone, or as the opening phase of Performance Creative.

Questions

Creative strategy — frequently asked questions

Yes. Plenty of brands have an in-house or freelance production capability and only need the thinking in front of it. You keep the angle map and the briefs whether or not we produce anything.

Two to three weeks for most brands. The variable is how much buyer material already exists. A brand with hundreds of reviews and an active community is faster to research than one launching its first product.

Access to reviews and support tickets, whatever customer research you already have, your ad account history if there is one, and about two hours of a founder or marketing lead in a working session. Everything else we gather ourselves.

We write concept briefs and hook variants, which is the part that decides whether the ad works. Full scripts and shot logic come with Creative Production or a Performance Creative retainer.

Then this is probably the wrong service, and we will say so on the call. What usually happens is that a brand has three angles it likes and no evidence about which is strongest or what the category has already exhausted. Ranking those honestly is most of the value.
