How the articles on this site are made
Every article on devilab.eu is written to help one reader solve one real problem. This page says plainly how the work gets done, where AI is involved, and what never goes in.
On this page
DeviLabs publishes articles on Generative Engine Optimization, AI search visibility, measurement and performance creative for direct-to-consumer brands. They are bylined to Dominykas Jankauskas, the founder, because the positions, methods and experience in them are his. Research and drafting use AI assistance. Every statistic is checked against its primary source before publication, and every article is reviewed by two independent passes before it goes live.
Who writes the articles
Articles carry the byline of Dominykas Jankauskas, founder of DeviLabs, a GEO agency in Wassenaar, the Netherlands. The opinions, frameworks and first-person experience in each article come from his published work and his own notes. Nothing is attributed to him that he has not said or done. DeviLabs is a one-person agency, and the articles are written from that operator's seat.
How topics are chosen
A topic is chosen because a DTC founder or marketing lead has the problem and needs an answer, not because a keyword has volume. Topics stay inside the areas where DeviLabs has real standing: GEO, AI search visibility, entity SEO, measuring AI visibility, performance creative and DTC growth. Before writing, we read what the current top results already say and commit to adding at least two things none of them have.
Two articles never target the same main question. If they ever drift into overlap, the weaker one is merged into the stronger and redirected. If a topic cannot clear that bar on a given day, no article is published that day.
Where AI is used, and where it is not
AI tools help with research, drafting, structure and copy-editing. They do not supply the experience, the opinions or the numbers. First-person claims are drawn only from a maintained record of Dominykas Jankauskas's published positions and notes, and from the case studies and methods already public on this site. An AI draft that cannot cite one of those, or original analysis done for the article, does not get published.
Sources and fact-checking
Every statistic links to the study, dataset or official page it comes from, in the same paragraph, and is listed again in a Sources section at the end of the article. Before publication an automated check opens each source and confirms the number is actually on that page. A statistic that cannot be verified is removed. We prefer primary sources published within the last 24 months and say so when a number is older.
Where it helps the reader, articles link to DeviLabs' own published method and evidence: the GEO Measurement Protocol and the GEO Claims Audit. Those pages hold themselves to the same sourcing rule.
Review before publication
Each article passes a set of automated checks (sources, links, structure, schema, accessibility, page speed) and then two independent review passes that did not write it. One reads as the target reader, a skeptical DTC founder, and asks whether the piece is worth bookmarking. The other reads as a senior editor and fact-checker. Both score usefulness, originality, trust and writing quality. An article that scores under 8 out of 10 on any of them is rewritten once, and if it still falls short it is not published.
Dates and updates
The published date is the day the article first went live. An updated date is shown only when the content changed in a meaningful way: a number corrected, a platform change reflected, a section rewritten. Fixing a typo or adjusting a layout does not change the date. Articles older than six months are reviewed for facts that have gone stale and updated when needed.
What never goes in
We do not invent statistics, quotes, case studies, client results or anecdotes. We do not name clients who are not already public on this site. We do not publish thin pages made to catch a search term, and we do not reprint other people's work. We do not publish anything Dominykas Jankauskas would not stand behind in a client meeting.
Commercial interest
DeviLabs sells the services these articles discuss. That interest is disclosed here and on the services page. Articles state their positions with reasons and link to the evidence so a reader can disagree on the merits. Each article ends with one clearly marked next step. There are no affiliate links and no paid placements.
Corrections
If you find an error, email info@devilab.eu with the article link and the issue. Factual errors are corrected in the article, the updated date is set, and a note is added at the point of the change when the correction alters a conclusion. Requests to change an opinion are read with interest and answered, but an opinion is not an error.
